An Elopement Creative Session in some of Seattle's Iconic Locations


This is the most fun I have had at a styled shoot in a long time! It felt super nostalgic to me and took me back to being 15 years old with dreams of working as a photographer when I grew up. When I got my first DSLR (my trusty Nikon D50) back in 2005, I would take my friends to downtown Lubbock, TX on quiet Sunday mornings so I could practice photographing people. We would walk around all morning and find the buildings with the best colors and most fun architecture. I even have a couple sessions from a parking garage that remind me of this Seattle day!


Bringing it back to the end of 2025, we started this day with a meet up at Storyville Coffee, which is located right across from the iconic Pike Place Market entrance. We photographed our couple sipping on lattes and writing love notes in a cozy corner.

We then made our way out to the very busy market area. This was the weekend between Christmas and New Year's, so it was even busier than normal. We headed inside to grab a bouquet from a lovely flower vendor.

From there we took a stroll to a nearby parking garage to have a rooftop elopement. Portland artist Angela Riggs, of Dandy Gal Art, provided a beautiful woven piece to bring some color to our ceremony. It really brought some fun and color to our city skyline!

Our last stop on this photo packed day was Dick's for a post ceremony meal.

I won't forget this day or the wonderful creatives I got to meet anytime soon!
