Backyard BBQ Wedding: Cody and Michael's Celebration
I had been anticipating this wedding for over a year. I first met Cody and Michael last June when we photographed their engagement session at Bald Peak State Park. They've been an absolute joy to work with.
From the start, Cody and Michael envisioned their wedding as an unconventional celebration—more backyard BBQ with loved ones than traditional ceremony.
They married on Michael's family property, which proved to be the ideal setting for their vision. Cody is clearly a DIY mastermind behind the scenes. The grounds were beautifully decorated with his creations, featuring charming country-style touches throughout.
The couple's thoughtfulness shone through in every detail, including emergency kits strategically placed around the property to ensure their guests' comfort and safety.
Michael's aunt officiated the ceremony with grace, delivering a touching and heartfelt message that celebrated the couple's love.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed delicious tacos from Blazing Tacos food truck and craft cocktails from The Humble Lush Mobile Bar Cart.
The evening unfolded with heartfelt toasts, dancing, mingling, yard games, a photo booth, and even camping—creating memories that lasted well into the night.
