A Chilly Evening in the Columbia River Gorge

When it was time to start discussing engagement photos with Jacque and Mitch, they made it clear that they wanted their photos to be obvious they were in the Columbia River Gorge. Their first idea was Multnomah Falls, but it can get really busy and be difficult to navigate crowds on a nice weekend. I then suggested Latourell Falls. I love that It's easy to get to, not as busy and you can get right in the falls if you're feeling adventurous!

The other great thing about these falls is that it is a quick 10 minute drive to the Portland Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint for those, "obviously in the gorge", views.

We scheduled for just a week later as Oregon's winter looked like it was finally going to arrive.

It was chilly, but beautiful, and as expected, not too busy!


I really enjoy my time taking engagement photos with couples so we can meet before the big day. I can't wait to see these two again at Mt. Hood in just a couple short months!
