A Beautiful Spring Stroll in Salem and Albany, Oregon
Mariah and Brandon met in high school, but they started dating while they were attending college in Corvallis. They lived in Albany when they started their relationship, so it seemed right to keep their engagement photos nearby.
This engagement session was just perfect! It seems like some kind of weather always takes out the cherry blossoms before I can photograph them at peak bloom. This year we had an absolutely gorgeous weekend while the blossoms were at peak and to top it off, I had a couple who wanted their engagement photos taken at Salem's Capitol Park!
We met early on Sunday to avoid the crowds and get that perfect morning light. a canopy of pink petals is such a romantic setting for spring photos! These two were also such good sports while I carried and used a multitude of cameras to test out some rolls of film on my new 35mm and medium format cameras.
We headed to Albany after the cherry blossoms and met near the Albany Carousel at Monteith Park. We walked around and stopped at every spring bloom and colorful frame we could find! This kind of laid back, walk around and explore, session is so much fun. It's so good to meet and talk to couples in a relaxed environment.
I am looking forward to seeing these two again at their wedding at Abigail's Garden this Summer!
