A Warm Day at Abernethy Center: How Mariah and Brandon Rolled with the Smoke
Mariah and Brandon's wedding day kept them on their toes when Mother Nature decided to surprise them! Originally planned for The Abernethy Center's Abigail's Garden, their celebration ran into some mid-90s heat and smoky conditions drifting in from wildfires near Mt. Hood. But instead of letting it get them down, they rolled with it and found a creative solution.
They teamed up with the venue's wonderful staff to move the ceremony to The Veiled Garden and bring the reception indoors to the Ballroom.
And you know what? Despite the last-minute shuffle, the day turned out absolutely beautiful. The Veiled Garden ended up being perfect, with gorgeous natural light and plenty of shade for the couple, their wedding party, and all their guests.
Everyone was thrilled to head into the cool, air-conditioned Ballroom after the ceremony.
The reception brought together Mariah and Brandon's closest friends and family for an intimate, joyful celebration that went right up until the very end—complete with a fun bubble exit and a grand send-off in Brandon's beloved Miata.
It was such a joy working with Mariah and Brandon. Their genuine warmth and the wonderful group of friends who stuck around all evening made this day truly special and something I'll remember fondly.
